Active Treatment for Active People
Dynamic massage therapy is built for people who move—and want to keep moving. Every session is designed with purpose: to treat injuries, restore function, and prepare your body for what’s next.
We take a different approach than traditional massage. Treatments are done in athletic clothing, guided by clear goals, and focused on measurable progress not passive relaxation. Your therapist works alongside other Dynamic practitioners to accelerate recovery and keep everything moving forward.
What Your Treatment May Include
Every session is tailored to your needs, but your treatment may include a combination of:
Hands-On Treatment
Targeted work to reduce muscle tension, improve tissue quality, and relieve pain.
Movement & Position-Based Work
Treatment that integrates how you move — so changes carry over outside the session.
Exercise Prescription
Used when appropriate to support tissue mobility and recovery—not as standalone treatments.
How It Works
Here’s what happens from the moment you walk in to when you leave.
Intake & Goal Setting
Your Massage Therapist starts by understanding your symptoms, history, and what you’re hoping to get out of the session. This shapes everything that follows — it’s not a formality.
Targeted Treatment
You stay in comfortable athletic clothing. Your Massage Therapist works directly on the areas that need attention — using the techniques best suited to your specific issue and pain tolerance.
Check-In & Adjustment
Your Massage Therapist communicates throughout — checking in on pressure, adjusting their approach as needed. You’re always in control of the session.
Post-Session Guidance
Before you leave, your Massage Therapist will share any relevant aftercare advice — what to expect in the next 24– 48 hours, and whether follow-up sessions or a referral to chiro or physio makes sense.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a referral to book a massage?
No referral needed — you can book directly online at any of our three Calgary locations. Some insurance plans may require a referral for reimbursement, so it’s worth checking with your provider before your first visit.
Is massage therapy covered by my insurance?
Most extended health plans include Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) coverage, often between 80–100%. While we do not offer direct billing, we’ll provide you with everything needed to submit for reimbursement. Since coverage varies, we recommend confirming your specific benefits before booking.
What do I wear to a massage at Dynamic?
Wear comfortable athletic clothing—shorts, leggings, a t-shirt. Our treatments are done fully clothed, not the traditional undressed approach. It’s more practical, more comfortable, and allows for more active, targeted treatment.
How long should I book?
For most people, 60 minutes is the best place to start—it gives your RMT enough time to properly assess and treat a primary area. 30 minutes works well for a single, focused issue. 90 minutes is ideal for full-body work or multiple areas.
What’s the difference between RMT massage and a spa massage?
Spa massage is focused on relaxation. Registered Massage Therapy is focused on results. Our RMTs assess how you move, treat specific problem areas, and use targeted techniques to reduce pain and improve function. At Dynamic, sessions are goal-driven and often include movement—not just time on the table.
